Granny ( cough, cough, cough non-stoply)...

Dad : U want to see doc or not?

Granny : see what see... all docs are just the same .... been coughing for long long time d.... no need to see lar.Haiyo... very painful.....

Dad: U cough cough cough like that very susah( torturing) lor.Come, let me fetch u to see the doc.

Granny: and let him charge u kau kau rite? where got money huh?

Dad : Don't worry lar.. very cheap one..

YE: Ah-ngian, please go and see the doc lar.... very near , don't worry about the money..he's a good doc.. see he'd cured dad..last time dad also coughed coughed coughed like u mar~

Eventually, after many times of begging and pleading, granny agreed to go to the clinic.

At 3.00pm, Dad (leaving Yasmine the evil demon at home with Cynt hia, my godsis's daughter ) , Ah-ngian , the supergranny , Mom and me drove to the clinic.

SYT receptionist: First time arr?

YE : Yup.

SYTr : May I have her IC please?

Granny : Huh? Meh need IC arr? ( angry angry look and tone) Why u never tell me to bring my IC?

SYTr :(voice shaking) Ah-po, nvm, just write down your name , tel and add.

YE quickly gave SYTr granny's particular.

SYTr : Okie, you may go in now.

In the consultiong room...

Doc : Okie, auntie , what's your problem?

Granny coughed very loudly.

Doc : Okie, so you got a lot of phlegm..

Doc took out his gadgets and started to examine granny's chest, back, her lungs , her ears, her eyes, her nostrils , her throat, in a nutshell, checked all her " sam korn pay fai shern"= 心 肝 脾 肺 肾

Doc: Ah -po, do you smoke?

YE: She smoked. But she had quitted smoking for a long long time d.

Doc : How long was your long long time?

Granny : related meh? I've stopped smoking for more or less 3 years loh.

YE: No lar. She'd quitted when I was still in my lampin( diaper).

Doc : How long had she been smoking before she stopped?15 years? 10 years?

Granny: 15 years....

Doc : ( took his laser pointer, pointed to the diagrams hanging on the wall ) Since you'd been smoking for such a long time, your lungs now may have dis dat dis dat bla bla bla problem...........( he talked a lot, lazy to type .. when u guys in Penang, tell u in detail) so now your lungs may look like dis and this causes u to cough so badly..

Granny: ( gave doc a "what are u talking about"+ innocent coz I 've stopped smoking - look) I cough cough till breathless very the susah lor doc.... back also very pain.. cannot sleep at night....

Doc : okie , ah -po, which doc do you usually go to?

Granny : The Oh lor...

Doc : Kenneth Oh izzit?

YE: Yup.

Doc : What kind of medicine are u currently taking?

Granny : alot lor.... high blood pressure.... blablabla......

Doc : IC... So I will give you dis dat dis dat bla bla bla for u. Need not worry, 5 days later come and see me again , okie?

Granny: Kie...

Outside the consulting room...

Granny : How come the Doc is so " cheong hey" = 长 气 ? What kind of doc he is?

We left the clinic at around 4.30pm.
